13C/12C, 15N/14N, 18O/16O analysis of bulk and liquid organic and inorganic samples

The carbon, nitrogen and oxygen elemental contents and isotope compositions of bulk and liquid organic and inorganic samples is analysed with a isotope ratio mass spectrometer. The IRMS (Delta plus, ThermoFinnigan), is coupled via a Conflo III either with an elemental analyzer (Carlo Erba) for C- and N-analysis or with a pyrolysis unit (HekaTech) for O-analysis in solid samples.
Isotopic Water Analyzer(Picarro L2120-i) for the simultaneous determination of the D/H and 18O/ 16O ratio in water samples. An extraction line for the quantitative extraction of water from plant or soil samples is available at the chair.
