Shoot and root respiration system (not in use anymore)

Root and shoot respiration of single plants and the carbon and oxygen isotope composition of the respiratory CO₂ is measured on-line. The system includes four units, which are opperated in parallel.
The facility is used in studies of the natural ¹³C signature of CO₂ respired by shoots and roots, and for tracing label incorporation kinetics in respiratory CO₂.
